Clothes show hat competition

Well...of course I typed my name into google to see if this blog

would come up and what came to rear its embarrassing head?

A news paper article about a competition I did in college!!! 

It was for the Clothes Show (2005) I had to design a hat for a 'day at the races'

and because I was a chosen finalist I got to make my design... This royal blue and

gold silk Egyptian pharaoh inspired almost...cow boyish styled hat

with a black and gold cobra...obvs not real...though looking back would of worked

better than what I did LOL! which went around the brim.

I got to watch it worn by a model in this lil mini show that's with

all the stalls outside the main show.

SHAME! it was put on wrong!

and the part attaching the snakes tail had been broken

making it flop about!... I wasn't a happy 17 year old at that point! lol

The fact our college won the hat competition and a few others made up for it...

that and the epic amount of free goodies!!! <3

I'm so happy the article with my photo is not actually available..as far as I know = \

it was such a bad photo of me! But proud Grandad <3 made sure I didn't forget
that I was in the paper - with my very own blown up and FRAMED
version of the photo for everyone to see when they visit!
